Well, I’ve got a struggle story too......
but let’s save the violins for another day. Today, it’s all about the wins.
Before I was a freelance content writer, I was in the 9-to-5 grind. Constantly clocking in, clocking out, and wondering if there was something more fulfilling out there.
Writing, honestly, had always been very basic. I had never thought it could be a career, something that paid the bills.
One day, I decided to take a drastic leap, trade the stability of my desk job for the uncertainty of freelance writing. I started with a few small gigs here and there, and truth be told, I knew I was cooked.
Then COVID hit, and suddenly, the world changed. With companies bringing in the remote setup, I thought of taking my chances. And that’s exactly when things took off for me.
I landed a gig that gave me the confidence to keep going, to push through the highs and lows. And since then? NO looking back. In the last six years, I’ve had the privilege to work across 40+ industries (healthcare, finance, lifestyle, and so much more). I’ve written, edited, and published topics I never thought I would, and it’s been an incredible journey.
Now, what makes me different?
I don’t just write content. And I don’t stop at content writing. My path has led me to explore other aspects as well.
Apart from freelancing, I contribute regularly on Medium, discussing (lesser-discussed) topics in my ABSOLUTELY unfiltered voice. I’ve also won awards in writing competitions and have been published in an anthology (one of my first proud moments in print)!
When I’m not writing, I’m a professional makeup artist. Mondays find me writing blog posts, while Saturdays find me with a makeup brush in hand.
